The distant world of Valdris needs heroes. Perhaps someone there will rise to the occasion. Or perhaps that someone is you, the person reading this.
IsekAI Game is a CRPG roguelike, which you can play for free. It's not like other RPGs you may have played, because the GM is an AI. Your player character can be either a) one of our premade characters, who grew up in Valdris, or b) a character representing you, which our GM will create on the spot. (Truck-kun will not be consulted.)
What is "isekai"? There exists a literary device where someone from our world is transported to a fantasy world. Think "Chronicles of Narnia." Valdris is not Narnia, and it has its own stories to tell, but broadly it tends towards "heroic fantasy" in style and age-appropriateness. There are villains, certainly, but there is no Ramsay Bolton. There may be swords and there may be fireballs, and your character may "die", but there is no gore and, like many video games, you can just restart with no lasting consequences.
Can you hear the mystical hum? It's either the call to adventure... or the echoes of desperate magic users a few decades ago, casting a spell they hoped would summon the chosen hero. Spoiler: it didn't do what they expected.
Update after Metagame 2025: The "isekai" feature remains available for Metagame attendees but is temporarily disabled for the rest of the world. We will bring it back, likely in early October.
